From 2006-2007, Jean-Paul Gauthier served as TTL and Team Lead for the World Bank's Niger Administrative Barriers to Investment Study. The project was conducted through the Foreign Investment Advisory Service (FIAS), for which Jean-Paul served as the designated SEZ law point person on 38 total projects. Jean-Paul drafted a diagnostic report on all of the major constraints to doing business in Niger, along with benchmarking against international best practice countries, and detailed a set of reform recommendations.
Jean-Paul's extensive experience helping remove, reduce, or simplify administrative barriers to business growth is an asset to Locus' clients today. We help countries attract investment and introduce reforms through special economic zones that improve on the business environment. The result is economic growth, job creation, and shared prosperity.
